I. Scope
This Agreement governs all rental operations between Modern Lighting Services (“MLS”) and the Customer. It is incorporated into each Activity Contract and applies to all rentals, together with any additional terms agreed in the applicable Orders or Activity Contracts.
II. Definitions
MLS – Modern Lighting Services.
Customer – Production company or entity renting equipment.
Equipment – All items rented by MLS, including vehicles.
Replacement Cost – Full replacement cost of Equipment as of delivery date.
Rental Period – Period specified in the Rental Contract.
Activity Contracts – Administrative itemized records (Out, In, Exchange, or other) documenting Equipment released, returned, or exchanged, and any sale items (such as expendables, materials, or consumables) provided to the Customer during the Rental Period.
Call Time – The scheduled time at which the technical crew is required to be on set and commence work, as designated by the production.
Rental Contract – The agreement formed by these Terms and Conditions together with the applicable Order and any associated Activity Contracts, which collectively govern each rental transaction between MLS and the Customer.
III. Rental Period
The Rental Period is set out in the Order and remains in effect until all Equipment has been fully returned.
While returns are generally accepted at the Customer’s convenience, MLS may designate a specific return time when operational needs require.
If Equipment is not returned by the designated time, and such delay causes disruption or loss to MLS or another production, the Customer may be held liable for resulting costs.
